My Truth: Our victory in the war against satan is secured.
We are at war against satan – as stated yesterday. We become victims in this war when we become trapped in satan’s web of lies and deceit. When we embrace a sinful nature and live in rebellion to the commandments of God we become under the control of our enemy. However, the Most High Father has made a way for us to break free from satan’s control and to overcome our enemy.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).
We no longer have to fear satan, because Jesus has destroyed satan’s dominion over us through his suffering on the cross and his resurrection from the dead. Knowing what Christ did for us on the cross and by allowing his atoning blood to cleanse us from sin and all unrighteousness, we are able to stand up and overcome the onslaught from the enemy.
These scriptures give us more insight of the victory of the cross:
- “Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.” (Heb.2:14)
- “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1John 2:2).
- “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” (1Pet.2:24).
- “But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honour because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.” (Heb.2:9).
- “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Col.1:13-14).
- He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.” (Col.2:15).
- “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Rom.8:37).
My Prayer
Thank you Father AhaYah that you have made a way for us to be freed from the control of our adversary. Thank you that through his death and resurrection Jesus triumphed over satan and secured our victory over sin and death. Father, we repent for living lives in rebellion of You and Your commandments. Please forgive us our sins and wash us with the precious blood of the Lamb. Aman.
