"For I know the plans I have for you," declares AhaYah, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jer.29:11).

Over the next few posts, I am going to share, from scripture, some of the plans the Most High Father has for us. I pray that we will embrace this information as it is what will carry us through the difficult and dark times we are now experiencing and what lies ahead. Before we get into this topic, I would like to share two important attributes of the God we serve.

  1. "Remember the former things from long ago. Because I am God, and there is no one else; I am God, and there is none like me. I declare from the beginning things to follow, and from ancient times things that have not yet been done; saying, 'My purpose will stand, and I will accomplish everything that I please.'" (Isa.46:9-10)
  2. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isa.55:11). Father AhaYah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the One who tells the end right at the beginning. He is all powerful and as such His will as expressed in the Scriptures will be accomplished.

Here are some of the wonderful plans our Father has for us:

  1. Jesus is returning to earth. This has been foretold by the angels when Jesus ascended into heaven. "They asked, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you saw him go up into heaven." (Acts 1:11)
  2. Eternal life awaits us if we repent of sin and follow Jesus. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
  3. We are of value to God for he desires that we spend eternity in His presence. Jesus said: "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:3)
  4. All hardship and pain, strife and struggle that we encounter today will pass away. "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind" (Isa:65:17).

We can see from these verses that there is a wonderful future ahead of us. However, to partake in these promises, we must live according to the commandments Jesus gave us: "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbour as yourself" (Matt. 22:37-39). Jesus also said "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

My Prayer

Father AhaYah, thank you for the wonderful plans You have for us. Father, we come before you to repent of our sins. Please forgive us for neglecting this commandment of loving You and our neighbour. Father you are worthy of our undivided devotion, worship and praise. In Your mercy please forgive us. Please teach us to first seek Your kingdom because then all the things that we need will be added onto us. Thank you Father. Aman.
