Dear Father AHAYAH, thank you for instituting the Feast of Passover. Father, You saw the bondage and the cries of Your chosen people, You remembered Your covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and through wonderful demonstration of Your power, might and sovereignty, you led Your people out of slavery. Hallelujah! You instructed the Israelites to keep the day of their exodus as a memorial forever and to use the blood of an unblemished lamb to make atonement for their sins. Thank you that Passover gives us an opportunity to reflect on Your greatness, Your faithfulness and Your mercy.
Father, thank you that on this day of Passover Your Son died on the cross to make atonement for our sins. Thank you YashaYah, that you were that Lamb slain for us, spotless and without sin. Thank you that through Your Blood we also become heirs to the covenant with Abraham. Thank you, Father for Your promise that You will for a second time, gather all those You have scattered to the four corners of the earth. We rejoice in Your promises and we give thanks to You Father AHAYAH for Your plans and for Your great love for us. Thank you for our salvation made possible by the blood of YashaYah.
Father today I bring before You my sin-offering. Please forgive me for not obeying Your commandment to honour Passover as You have instructed us to do and for following the way of the world instead. In the past the feast I celebrated centred around the death, burial and resurrection of YashaYah only. Forgive me for overlooking Your great act of mercy to the Israelites and faithfulness to Your covenant with Abraham.
Forgive me for defiling this memorial of the sacrifice of YashaYah with pagan rituals and symbols. Father, please forgive me my ignorance and for teaching children to honour YashaYah's sacrifice with eggs and rabbits. I know now that these symbols represent the fertility sun-god Ishtar, Eostre or Easter, as this festival is still called. Father, I also understand now why Your Word states that You despise our solemn feasts. Father, please also forgive me for celebrating Christmas in the past. Father, I do rejoice that You, God, was born to us in the flesh. Forgive me for defiling Your supernatural birth by remembering it on the day the pagans remember their gods and for using pagan symbols of a tree and everything else rooted in paganism in my celebrations. Please forgive me for teaching this to children and for not boldly speaking out of the error of these things.
Father, today I renounce association with any and all pagan symbols and traditions. I commit myself in Your commandments and to Your will. Father AHAYAH, in Your mercy, please accept this sin-offering. Please forgive me and wash me clean from this and all my sins. Father, please continue to instruct me and teach me Your ways. I desire to walk before You like Your Son YashaYah did, according to Your ways and Your teaching and not tainted with the ways of the world.
Father, I pray for those still trapped in these pagan traditions. Please grant them wisdom to see that their actions are not any different from the sins of the Israelites, and allowing these pagan ways in their worship of You is the same as the harlotry you warned the Israelites against and then punished them for their rebellion. Father Your Word tells us that our fathers have taught us things that are unprofitable. Please help us to obey Your commandments and give us courage to break free from all ideologies and traditions that do not align to Your Word.
I pray this in the name of YashaYah, the Lamb slain for me. Aman.
