Today we conclude this series on 'Walking in the Commandments of God'. It has been my privilege and honour to write these messages under the leading of Holy Spirit. Thank you for your encouragement and support over the last 21 days.

I feel I cannot close the series without warning you about the troubles we are in and what is to come. We are truly in the 'days of sorrows' Jesus told us about in Matthew 24. "For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places". Jesus also warned about persecution of His followers, betrayal and a falling away of His followers and about false prophets who will lead many astray. We are also warned of an increase in wickedness; something that is not unfamiliar to us today.

In verse 42 Jesus instructs us to stay alert and to watch. Therefore, let us take note of the events around us and in the world. Please study all of Chapter 24 in the Book of Matthew and the Book of Revelation so that you can recognise the signs and be prepared for what is to come.

I realise that talking about these things make us all feel a bit uncomfortable. I would like to assure you that God will shelter us through all these events if we make Him our refuge and our fortress. When we walk in His commandments, we have nothing to fear. I am closing out with some reassuring promises from the Word:

  1. "The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Saviour, You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies" (2Sam. 22:3-4).
  2. "The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One will save, He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing" (Zep. 3:17).
  3. "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but is shall not come near you" (Ps. 91:7).
  4. "He will fulfil the desire of those who fear Him, He also will hear their cry and save them" (Ps.145:19).

My Prayer

Father Yahuah, thank you that in all things we are more than conquerors through You who loves us. Thank you that in the midst of wickedness, chaos and destruction we do not have to fear for Thou are with us, Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort us. Hallelujah! Aman.
