Walking with God requires daily repentance. The first point I would like to address under this topic is whether we believe that heaven and hell are real or just fables made up to ensure good behaviour and conformity to rules.

If we believe that Jesus is who He said He is, the Son of God, then we have to believe that heaven and hell are real places because He taught about it when He walked this earth. Heaven is a place where those who repented of their sins and turned their lives around will spend eternity. It's a place of harmony, beauty and joy; a place where the presence of God dwells. Hell on the other hand is a place of everlasting condemnation and torment, a lake of fire and brimstone.

I pray that these verses from the Bible, the Word inspired by God, will help to convince you about the truth of this and compel you to do everything necessary, with great urgency to ensure you do not end up in eternal torment.

  1. "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him" (1Cor. 2:9).
  2. "In My Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again to receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:2-3).
  3. "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man … He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away" (Rev. 21:3-4).
  4. "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels'" (Matt. 25:41).
  5. "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire" (Rev. 20:15).
  6. "And throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matt. 13:50).
  7. "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name" (Rev.14:11).

My Prayer

Father Yahuah, thank you for teaching us through Your Word about our eternal destiny after we leave this life. Father, we desire to spend eternity with you. Please forgive us and help us to overcome our unbelief and reluctance to act with urgency. We pray in Jesus' name. Aman.
