Walking with God requires a relationship and intimacy. The Word often refers to followers of Jesus as His bride, His chosen ones, His elect, the Body of Christ. Our walk with God should be aimed at reaching this level of intimacy so that we can also like John at the last supper lay our heads on Jesus's chest. The Word tells us that God walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. God continues to call us as He called Adam after they sinned. He also desires to walk with us daily. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me " (Rev. 3:20). Let us open the doors of our hearts to Jesus and let us make space in our lives for Him daily.

Yah said, "Be still and know that I am God" (Ps. 46:10). This stillness will mean different things for each of us. For one it may be sitting under a tree on the bank of a beautiful stream; for others it may be on a hilltop while taking in the landscape and the vastness of Yah; others may sit in their favourite chair with some soothing music in the background. Whatever works for you, reach that place of stillness and absorb His presence and His peace. Picture Jesus sitting with you and be filled by the awesomeness of His presence and His peace. This is the assurance from the Word, "You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isa. 26:3). This moment of stillness it is not a time for bringing your petitions to Him, but just to enjoy Him. This is the place where we experience wholeness and where we are fed and filled with living water. It is at this place where He gives you direction and share with you hidden things. It is at this place where you bond with your Creator and Redeemer and are filled with His joy. "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in Me, from his innermost being will flow rivers of living water" (John 7.37-38). Hallelujah!

My Prayer

Thank you Jesus that you are still calling us today. Father we are opening the doors of our hearts for You to enter in. Please fill us with Your presence and Your peace. Aman.
