Lack of Faith. "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him" (Heb 11:6).

Do we believe that God is what we read about Him in the Bible, of His power, His faithfulness and His love and mercy towards us? The Bible is filled with beautiful promises from God to those who love Him and seek Him. These promises are activated by faith. In Mark 11:24 we read, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." From this verse we understand that we need faith to receive what we have asked for. Faith is described as the substance of things hoped (asked or prayed) for (Heb 11:1). Contrary to human wisdom of 'seeing is believing', the Word teaches us to live by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). When we ask for healing, we should not wait to see whether we are healed before we believe that God has healed us. Our faith should be the evidence (the substance) of our healing even before it physically manifests. Knowing the character of God enables us to trust Him to deliver what He has promised. In Psalm 91 God promises us that no pestilence will come near our dwelling if we make Him our refuge. Because we know that for God anything is possible and that He is not a man that He should lie, we can trust that He will be faithful in protecting us.

We know that Peter walked on water when he believed and for as long as he believed. Let us today commit ourselves to believe that God is who He is, that He has plans for us to prosper us and to give us a future and a hope. Hallelujah!!!

My Prayer

Holy Yahushua, today we declare with our mouths the You are Lord, and we believe in our hearts that God raised You from the dead. Thank you that you died for us on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins through Your blood. Please forgive us our unbelief. Today we ask like the Apostles did who walked with You, "Increase our faith" so that we can walk through this life boldly, regardless of its challenges, knowing that we can do all things through You who strengthens us. Aman.
