Yesterday we discussed only 5 attributes of our God, yet there is so much to know about our Yah. Today I would like to encourage you to delve into the Word to uncover more of the depths of God and how we should walk with Him.
As disciples of Holy Yahushua we are encouraged to study to show ourselves approved (2 Tim 2:15). For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope (Rom 15:4).
I'm sure most of us have a Bible at home. Let us all commit ourselves today to reading and studying the Word while we are at liberty to do so freely. This will not always be the case. The Word warns us that there will come a day of famine, but not a famine of food, but of hearing the Word of God (Amos 8:11). This may be unthinkable now, but a time of great persecution of the followers of Holy Yahushua is prophesied not only in Revelation, but also in Matthew 24. We therefore need to store the Word of Yah in our hearts. Because the Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Ps 119:105).
Hebrews 4:12 explains to us the power of the Word: "For the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." My personal experience is that it was when I began to study the Word in earnest was when I changed from being a lukewarm follower into a zealous disciple of Holy Yahushua.
To those who still need further encouragement, I would like to share Psalm 19:7-10. "The Law of Yahuah is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of Yahuah is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of Yahuah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandments of Yahuah are pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of Yahuah is clean, enduring forever, the ordinances of Yahuah are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb." Hallelujah!
My Prayer
Father, thank you for Your Word that teaches us about You and how we should lead our lives as Your flock. Please create in our heart a stirring and a hunger for Your Word so that Your Book of Law shall always be on our lips and that we shall meditate on it day and night. We pray in Jesus' name. Aman.
