We have read in the scriptures about the second coming of Jesus, but have we ever considered that this phenomenal event could be happening in our lifetimes? My post today is to tell you that THIS is the season of the Lord's return and many of us will see Him appear in the sky to collect his bride.

The events that will precede his return as outlined in Matthew 24 are all unfolding as described. We have seen signs in the skies, (blood moons; the Revelation 12 sign), extreme and unusual weather across the globe, wars between nations are ongoing and at the moment tensions are rising.

I do not say that Jesus is coming tomorrow. However, I want us all to be aware that major catastrophic events are due to take place before Jesus's return and these events are upon us NOW. A quick review of the six seals (Revelation 6) will give insight into the severity and scale of these events. War, famine, pestilence, persecution and economic woes will take many lives.

Having said all that, what are we to do today. The answer is: Fear not, but Prepare!!!

The first step in your preparation is to make sure you are in right standing with Jesus. Review your life (read Galatians 5:16-26), repent, ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins and follow Him, repenting daily when you stumble.

We need to be spiritually strong to navigate the days of tribulation. Therefore the next step is to strengthen yourself by understanding and receiving the love, peace and promises of God by reading the Bible. Memorise the scriptures about His promises like Psalm 23, 27 and 91.

There are days coming of food shortages and when modern day conveniences (water, electricity) will not be available. Get your houses in order to be prepared for any scenario. Make sure that you have some extra food supplies and alternative cooking and heating equipment.

Finally, Jesus said that we should not fear for He is always with us. And we also know that He is mightier than our enemy, satan. I therefore encourage you to stay at His feet. Ask Him what you should do in your particular circumstances. And remember to call upon Him in all situations.

I hope this will be a blessing to you. Thank you for reading. May God have mercy on us all.
